The second UltraMicroscope User Meeting will take place at the "Haus der Technik" in Essen, 20-22 March 2018.
Participants are cordially invited to join with all active and prospective UltraMicroscope users in a forum on the latest developments in light sheet microscopy.
With this scientific gathering we want to foster the exchange of thoughts, experiences and views on this emerging and very active research field. The meeting will combine scientific talks and discussions with practical demonstrations and workshops. The aim is to create a living network between users and those interested in the field. Some of the most challenging questions regarding sample preparation, hardware and data handling will be addressed by the attendees.
An international group of speakers will provide the backbone for the meeting.

Hands-on ECi - IMCES (this workshop is fully booked)This workshop is limited to 14 attendees. A transfer shuttle will bring you to the IMCES where the workshop takes place. An introduction into ECi clearing is followed by imaging samples at the UltraMicroscope. In small groups of 5 people you will get insights into clearing and light sheet imaging within an imaging facility. We would like to thank the IMCES for organizing and hosting this special workshop.Aqueous buffer based clearingThis course will focus on different steps and hurdles of aqueous buffer based clearing. This workshop is supported by the European Institute for Molecular Imaging (EIMI), Muenster.iDISCO workshopiDISCO as one of the most common and powerful clearing techniques will be explained in detail. This workshop is supported by the Institute de la Vision, Paris.UltraMicroscopeWe will present new light sheet microscopy developments and give answers to your questions. Alignment and maintenance will be also topic as mounting samples and imaging modes.ImarisAfter a brief introduction various image analysis features like segmentation, filament tracing etc. will be practiced. Workstations for hands-on will be provided.ImSpectorThis workshop will present new features of ImSpector. We will explain how to use them and what will be the benefit for your application. The Q&A part is for you to place your urging questions.
